HIDDEN GEM ALERT***. I always get warm and fuzzy when I find a hidden gem in a area I wouldn't expect. This smaller place with just a few tables usually has a single person manning the register and tables while someone's grandmother turns out dish after dish of authentic Thai dishes. She has no help, she needs no help. I absolutely love this place that is a short drive from my job on the southwest side. I haven't been disappointed yet. So I actually live on Argyle in the city with no shortage of Thai and Vietnamese restaurants, however I make Thai Twin my weekly indulgence. If you are in the area give this place a try!

So far so good. Since I now live on the south side of coarse we needed to find a delicious Thai place that was good but more importantly delivered to us in Hickory Hills. We found one. Twin Thai is a great lil Thai place in Bridgeview on south Harlem street. I can't really give much info on the inside the restaurant since I've been inside only once. But the two times we've ordered take out I've had the Pad Se Ewe with Shrimp and Tofu which have been on point twice . My wife has had the pad Thai. Which has also been spot on delicious. The sides we've ordered have been spring rolls which seemed were home made and large and also the shrimp rolls. Both scrumptious. We've found our Thai place!!! The only negative thing I will say IMO is that the restaurant can be easy to miss. Going down Harlem you might miss it. But if you see, definitely stop in. Thanks Thai Twin your food is scrumptious.

Amazing Thai food! Absolutely delicious consistency. My favorite is Tom Yum Goong. It was fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. I'm not exaggerating when I say I wish I could eat there every day. You can't go wrong choosing any dishes from this great little place. They give you big portions so prepare for left overs! The owner is warm and personable and truly value their clientele. Would definitely recommend Thai Twin for anyone looking for a quality and authentic Thai restaurant!

The COVID-19 culinary tour continues. It is time for one of my favorites, Thai. In our area, Thai is a bit weak. So I was very excited to see this place was rated so highly. What we ordered: Chicken Pad Thai Egg rolls Thai egg rolls Seaweed salad White rice Extra side of veg I didn't really get to experience their Pad Thai as they made a mistake on the order. The extra veg was for my wife's rice, but instead they added it to the Pad Thai. The veg included broccoli, Bok Choi, pea pods, so a lot of stuff that is not traditionally in Pad Thai. That addition diluted the overall Pad Thai flavor and drowned out the regular ingredients (peanuts, bean shoots, peanut sauce). So be specific if you order any of the extras. Do you want that on the side or included with a specific dish? With that in mind, I ended up with a dish that was still very good if not what I was expecting. I would order it the same way again and ask for extra peanut sauce. Might be the best egg roll I have ever had and the sauces that came with the Thai and regular egg rolls were different and very good. I don't know if they make them fresh, but it tasted like they did. I will for sure order from this place again. They could bump to 5 stars once I try the regular Pad Thai without the extra veg.

This is hands-down, the absolute BEST Thai place I have ever been to. My other favorite place in Naperville, Le Siam, closed a couple of years ago. But this place is wayyyy better than that. We got the satay chicken, Tom Kha soup with shrimp, and Massaman curry. All of it is world-class Thai. The Thai iced coffee is ridiculously good. It's a bit of a drive for me, but totally worth the trip from anywhere to try it.

It's been probably 10-15 years since I've been here. And apparently, my relatives still go here. I was hanging out with my mom, aunt and uncle and they wanted to come here for lunch. And oh boy, did we (more like they) clean up shop! The ma and pa grocery store and restaurant have not changed much from what I remember. I was surprised by the number on people dining in for lunch during the work week. We ordered spring rolls, fish cakes, pot stickers, chicken satay, thai egg rolls, seaweed salad, shrimp pad thai, drunken noodles with beef, thai fried rice with chicken and two orders of sticky rice with mango for dessert. And because I was already eating way too much that day, I threw in a thai iced tea, too. What the hell, right? Even our waitress said, "that's a lot of appetizers." All of this food for four people, remember? My favorites were the spring rolls, fish cakes, chicken satay and shrimp pad thai. Mostly because those are the type of dishes I prefer to order at thai restaurants. Their pad thai was the best I've ever had.. back in the day. I must admit, it doesn't taste as good as it used to be. They serve their appetizers with more sauce than I would normally use. Next time, I will ask them to put it on the side. The thai iced tea was good, but I forgot to ask them to go easy on the sugar and milk, my fault. The sticky rice with mango was SOOOO GOOOOOOD. Get it. This place has good thai food. Good flavors, portions and prices. This restaurant was the first place I tried yum woon sen 15+ years ago and it has become my favorite thai dish. Unfortunately, most thai restaurants don't offer yum woon sen. And I didn't see it on the menu this time around, but I'll have to try the yum nua and nam sod next time. Btw, if you are curious, my family finished everything except a couple spoonfuls of fried rice and drunken noodles.
